Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to promote the upcoming boxing match.
Former two-time world title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will really want to hurt him. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
In spite of such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Still, the novice is still one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers met for the usual confrontation, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really going ahead.
